El amor y la belleza en la estética Ficiniana

Abstract

El presente trabajo investiga la teoría del amor platónico desarrollada en la obra De Amore de Marsilio Ficino de1469, con el objetivo de mostrar su íntima relación con el concepto de belleza en el marco del neoplatonismo. Examinamos el concepto de Belleza como representación de la gracia del rostro divino y el amor como la ansiedad del alma que le une totalmente a su rostro. De esta forma, este deseo no sólo es una pasión del alma provocado por la presencia de la belleza, sino que, a su vez, es el que actúa como puente de unión entre Eros y Venus y el que permite, en cierto sentido, que los hombres se nutran con el fin de conocer el Bien. El trabajo se desarrolla en dos apartados: el primero está dirigido a explicar brevemente el significado del término “amor” y su relación con la belleza en la obra de Ficino; el segundo, trata sobre la belleza como emanación divina.

The present work investigates the theory of Platonic love developed in the book De Amore written in 1469 by Marsilio Ficino, aiming to show his intimate relationship with the concept of beauty in the context of neo-Platonism. We examine the concept of Beauty as representing the grace of the divine face and the Love would be the anxiety of the Soul to be united with that to his face completely. Thus, this desire is not only the passion of the soul caused by the presence of beauty, but, in turn, is serving as a connection between Eros and Venus and, in a way, this allows men to be nurtured so that they can know the Good. The work is developed in two sections: the first is directed to explain briefly the meaning of the term “love” and its relationship with the Beauty in the work of Ficino, the second is about Beauty as a divine emanation
