Valorización de los recursos hídricos en el ámbito de las escuelas rurales. Aportes desde la extensión universitaria

Abstract

En la Universidad Nacional del Sur (UNS) la Secretaría de Cultura y Extensión tiene una serie de proyectos orientados al fortalecimiento de la relación entre la Universidad y la comunidad. En estemarco en el año 2016 comenzó a funcionar en la UNS el Proyecto de Extensión Universitaria (PEU) “Geografía en el terreno: valorización del recurso hídrico en el ámbito de escuelas rurales” cuyo principal objetivo es fortalecer el conocimiento de los recursos hídricos y sus problemáticas en las áreas rurales permitiendo valorizar el vínculo que existe entre el medio físico y la sociedad. La Escuela Primaria Nº 45 "Patagonia Argentina” es el establecimiento en el cual se llevó a cabo la propuesta de revalorización del recurso hídrico a través del desarrollo de talleres. Esta metodología implica que el alumno cambia de rol (respecto del aula tradicional) y se transforma en sujeto activo de su propio aprendizaje. El abordaje del recurso hídrico se hizo partiendo desde una escala regional cambiando el nivel de detalle en función de los objetivos de los talleres, seleccionando la escala de trabajo que permitiera establecer relaciones y comparaciones como así también los diferentes problemas vinculados principalmente a las crecidas. La metodología adoptada para abordar la valorización de los recursos hídricos favoreció un acercamiento progresivo al objeto a conocer, en este caso la cuenca del río Sauce Grande. Los estudiantes fueron protagonistas de su propio aprendizaje y pudieron problematizar la realidad con la cual conviven.

The secretary of culture and extension (Universidad Nacional del Sur) has a series of projects aimed at strengthening the relationship between the University and the community. In this context, in 2016 the University Extension Project (UEP) began to operate in the UNS "Geography in the field: valorization of water resources in rural schools" whose main objective is to strengthen knowledge of water resources and its problems in rural areas, which allows us to appreciate the link that exists between the physical environment and society. Primary School "Patagonia Argentina" is the establishment in which the proposal was made. The aim of this paper is to present the ways of approaching water resources in rural schools within the framework of the UEP. The classroom workshop implies that the student changes their roles (with respect to the traditional classroom) and becomes an active subject of their own learning. The approach of the water resource was made from a regional scale changing the level of detail according to the objectives of the workshops, selecting the scale of work that would allow to establish relationships and comparisons, as well as the different problems related mainly to floods. The methodology adopted to address the valorization of water resources favored a progressive approach to the object to be known (Sauce Grande river watershed). The students were protagonists of their own learning and could problematize the reality with the that live together.
