La amenaza roja. La intervención a la UBA durante 1966 vista desde el golpismo interno

Abstract

La literatura abocada a las transformaciones acaecidas en la sociedad argentina tras el golpe de Estado de 1966 remarca la centralidad del nuevo Poder Ejecutivo para imponer la clausura definitiva del proyecto reformista universitario erigido una década atrás, con particular impacto en la Universidad de Buenos Aires (uba). La mirada corriente sobre el proceso de intervención emprendido por la dictadura, incluso entre especialistas, pone énfasis en el accionar gubernamental durante el avasallamiento de la autonomía y el cogobierno. Sin embargo, la amenaza roja, que según el lenguaje de la derecha avanzaba en las universidades mimetizándose en las organizaciones juveniles identificadas con la Reforma Universitaria, fue contrarrestada también con significativos apoyos internos. En ese artículo me propongo, a partir de diversas fuentes y de una lectura con tal énfasis de la literatura sobre este período, reconstruir el olvidado accionar de las organizaciones estudiantiles alineadas con la dictadura en dicha coyuntura.

The literature devoted to the transformations that took place in Argentine society after the coup d’état of 1966 highlights the centrality of the new Executive branch to impose the definitive closure of the university reform project erected a decade before, with a particular impact on the University of Buenos Aires (uba). The current view of the intervention process undertaken by the dictatorship, even among specialists, emphasizes the governmental action during the subjugation of autonomy and co-government. However, the “red threat”, which, according to the language of the right, advanced in the universities, mimicking the youth organizations identified with the University Reform, was also counteracted by significant internal support. In this article, I propose, from various sources and a reading with such emphasis of the literature on this period, to reconstruct the forgotten actions of the student organizations aligned with the dictatorship at that juncture.
