Evidencias del Tardío en el valle del Cajón (Catamarca) : una mirada desde el sitio Loma L'Ántigo

Abstract

En este artículo se presentan los resultados de las investigaciones arqueológicas efectuadas en el sitio Loma l’Ántigo el cual fue ocupado entre los siglos XIII y XV d.C. Se trata de un poblado residencial aglomerado situado en la cima de una loma. Las excavaciones sistemáticas realizadas recientemente han mostrado una importante cantidad de artefactos de diferentes materias primas. También han permitido visualizar los modos constructivos y rasgos arquitectónicos que configuran el poblado. Se han registrado las características de los pisos de ocupación y otros rasgos como cimientos, hoyos de poste, fogones en cubeta y hoyos cavados en el piso. También se recuperaron distintos objetos que forman parte de los enseres de uso diario y se identificaron los estilos cerámicos consumidos en diferentes contextos del sitio. Si bien es posible reconocer la presencia y uso de estilos de los sectores valliserranos para esa época, se advierten características peculiares que son discutidas y puestas en consideración.

This article presents the results of archaeological investigations carried out at the site Loma l’Ántigo which was occupied between the 13th and 15th centuries a.D. Loma l’ Ántigo is an agglomerated residential village located on the top of a hill. Recent systematic excavations have shown a significant number of artifacts from different raw materials. The excavations also allowed a visualization the constructive modes and architectural features that shape the village. The characteristics of the occupation floors and other traits such as foundations, post-holes, hearths and carved pits on the floor have been shown. Excavations also recovered different objects that are part of the daily use and identified the ceramic styles consumed in different contexts. Although it is possible to recognize the presence and use of styles of the “valliserranos” sectors at that time, peculiar characteristics are highlighted that are discussed and put into consideration.
