Tiempo y manifestación: Michel Henry y la teoría husserliana sobre el tiempo

Abstract

Michel Henry distingue entre la manifestación de los objetos, de carácter intencional, y la auto-manifestación de la vida, de naturaleza no-intencional. Respecto a esta última, el autor señala que es posible encontrar en la teoría husserliana del tiempo y, puntualmente, en la noción de hyle, antecedentes de su propia posición. Sin embargo, el carácter intencional que Husserl habría atribuido al tiempo no sólo le impidieron comprender cabalmente el problema de la auto-manifestación sino que condujeron al fracaso a su teoría temporal. Con todo, la interpretación de Dan Zahavi sobre la fenomenología del tiempo muestra que existen en Husserl elementos para pensar un tipo no-intencional de auto-manifestación.

Michel Henry differentiates between the manifestation of the intentional object and the not-intentional self-manifestation of life. He claims that the later has a precedent in the husserlian theory of time; particulary, in its concept of hyle. Nevertheless the intentional character that time-consciousness would have for Husserl involves not only the imposibility to farily understand the problem of self-manifestation but also entails an outright failure of its temporal theory. However the Dan Zahavi´s interpretation of the phenomenology of time shows that there are traces on Husserl´s work that may indicate a form of not-intentional self-manifestation.
