Las juventudes sanluiseñas y sus miradas sobre la política y las políticas sociales: la influencia de las instituciones

Abstract

Los aportes del texto se insertan en el amplio campo de estudios contemporáneos sobre juventudes en Argentina y en particular explora el modo en que el colectivo socio-generacional construye sus miradas acerca de la esfera de la política y las políticas sociales. Además de ello considerando la relevancia de las instituciones tradicionales en la transmisión intergeneracional se indaga la posible influencia que aquellas podrían estar ejerciendo en la construcción de tales miradas.En cuanto a los aspectos metodológicos se ha optado por un enfoque cualitativo donde priman técnicas de recolección de datos tales como encuestas abiertas, entrevistas individuales y grupales.Los principales resultados que se exponen en el texto (con las limitaciones de la muestra que hemos construido) develan que las juventudes sanluiseñas poseen mayoritariamente una mirada negativa sobre determinados espacios políticos y la relación con su orientación político-ideológica. Aunque ello no constituye un desincentivo para llevar a cabo prácticas políticas. Y en la noción de política social denota la influencia que tienen sus miradas sobre la política y también sus propias perspectivas acerca de tales acciones. Una cuestión que vale la pena señalar es la posible influencia (sobre lo cual el artículo intenta aportar elementos) que podrían estar ejerciendo algunos medios de comunicación. Por último (en ambos casos) el texto explora la incidencia ?y ello a partir de las respuestas de los propios jóvenes- que podrían tener en tales miradas las instituciones tradicionales. Y allí los resultados obtenidos muestran que dos de ellas (la institución universitaria y la familia) influyen de algún modo en la decisión de participar y de hacerlo en determinados espacios políticos y de allí también en su noción sobre las acciones estatales con fines redistributivos.

The contributions of the text are inserted in the wide field of contemporary studies on youth in Argentina and in particular explores the way in which the socio-generational collective constructs its views about the sphere of politics and social policies. In addition, considering the relevance of the traditional institutions in the intergenerational transmission, the possible influence that they could be exerting in the construction of those views. As for the methodological aspects we chose a qualitative approach with techniques of collecting data like open surveys, individual and group interviews. The main results that are presented in the text (with the limitations of the sample that we have built) reveal that the young people of San Luis have a negative view about certain political spaces and the relation with their political-ideological orientation. Although this does not constitute a disincentive to carry out political practices. And in the notion of social policy denotes the influence that have their views on politics and also their own perspectives on such actions. One issue that is worth noting is the possible influence (on which the article tries to contribute elements) that could be exercised by some media. Finally (in both cases) the text explores the impact –and this from the responses of the young people themselves- that traditional institutions might have in their views. And there the results show that two of them (the university institution and the family) influence in some way the decision to participate and to do so in certain political spaces and from there also in his notion on the state actions with redistributive ends.
