El problema de la temporalidad en la fenomenología inmanente de Michel Henry

Abstract

En L essence de la manifestation, Michel Henry define el ego a partir de la auto-manifestación inmediata y pasiva del sentimiento de sí. En consecuencia, resulta difícil asegurarle a la subjetividad una determinación temporal. Sin embargo, nuestra hipótesis es que se puede rastrear en la obra de 1963 y en sus manuscritos preparatorios una articulación precisa y positiva entre la subjetividad y la temporalidad. Para poner a prueba esta hipótesis presentaremos primero las características generales de la subjetividad henryana y, luego, abordaremos la problemática de la temporalidad contestando a las interpretaciones tradicionales que hay del tema y proponiendo una lectura alternativa.

In L’essence de la manifestation, Michel Henry defines the ego in virtue of the immediate and passive self-manifestation of the feeling of the self. Thus it seems hard to assure a temporal determination to the subjectivity. None the less our hypothesis is that there can be tracked a precise and positive articulation between subjectivity and temporality in 1963, both in his work and their preparatory manuscripts. In order to put to test this hypothesis we will present in first place the general characteristics of Henry’s subjectivity and afterwards we will approach the problem of the temporality answering the traditional interpretations of this subject and proposing a feasible reading.
