dc.description.abstract
In the present work we describe the process of design and construction of an experimental bioclimatic building in the central region of Argentina, bio-environmental zone IVc (Latitude: 37º38 ', longitude: 63º34' and height above sea level: 175m), and its geographical relocation in the bioavailability zone IIIa (latitude: 36º22 ', longitude: 65º43' and height above sea level: 312) taking into account the results of the hygro-thermal and energy monitoring of the experimental building. The average temperature of the indoor air was 18.4ºC, 9.5ºC above the average outside temperature (8.9ºC) between August 9 and 26, 2011 with a daily consumption for heating during the working day of 6.4m3 of natural gas. During the summer period (24/11/2011 to 13/02/2012) the indoor air temperature was 25.4ºC, 0.9ºC above the outside temperature (24.3ºC). The highest consumption is registered in December with a value daily average of 12.25 kWh. The maximum values of electrical energy consumed were recorded on 27 and 28/12/2011 with a value of 21 and 23 kWh, respectively when the outdoor air temperature exceeded 35ºC with a minimum value of 20ºC. The performance is satisfactory from the environmental and energy considering that the interior environment is thermally acceptable and the building is low energy consumption.
