Acerca de las presentaciones de los textos de La Retórica y La Poética de Aristóteles

Abstract

Si de presentaciones se trata, el artículo subraya y dilucida el hecho de que durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX en adelante aparezcan editados bajo el título de Retó- rica y Poética estudios en torno a las interrelaciones de los dos escritos aristotélicos más influyentes (R.P. McKeon, 1965), de los cuales los lectores europeos recién tuvieron noticia a partir del Renacimiento. En ocasión de seguir el detalle de presentaciones, en su mayoría pertenecientes a la tradición angloparlante, la autora destaca la relevancia conceptual de recuperar el trabajo de quienes abrieron ese campo singular e interdisciplinar de estudio hasta hoy vigente. Resultan elocuentes ciertos hitos del horizonte interpretativo, que no sólo gravitan actualmente en la recepción angloparlante de los estudios en retórica, sino también en estudios del campo de la poética herederos de una línea de investigación ya abierta a comienzos de siglo pasado

This paper underlines and elucidates the fact that, as from the second half of the 20th century onwards, there have appeared -published under the title of Rhetoric and Poetics- studies on the interrelationships of the two most influential Aristotelian writings (R.P. McKeon, 1965), about which the European readers learnt just since the Renaissance. With the aim to recover some of those studies, most belonging to the English-speaking tradition, this paper highlights the conceptual relevance of the work done by those who opened a singular and interdisciplinary field of study that is still current. This paper also shows that those so-called old theses have become eloquent interpretative landmarks which have influenced not only the current reception by English-speaking studies on rhetoric, but also by those in the field of poetics, both heirs to a line of research already present at the beginning of the last century.
