Afectos y disidencia sexual en Sur: Victoria Ocampo, Gabriela Mistral y cia.

Abstract

A partir de la lectura de una selección de ensayos publicados en la Revista Sur por Victoria Ocampo y Gabriela Mistral, se propone un primer acercamiento a esa red afectiva y literaria, feminista y disidente, a la que Sur dio lugar. Si bien tendieron a pasar desaparecibidas ante la crítica, ciertas relaciones afectivas –que se plasmaron en textos– inauguraron desvíos y alianzas en una cultura fuertemente heterosexista, desestabilizaron estructuras canónicas del género y del deseo y dieron lugar a posibilidades de expresividad y de reflexión poco frecuente en las primeras décadas del siglo XX.

From the reading of a selection of essays published in Sur by Victoria Ocampo and Gabriela Mistral, a first approach is proposed to the affective and literary, feminist and dissident network to which Sur gave place. Although they have tended to pass unnoticed to literary critics, certain affective relationships that were embodied in texts, inaugurated deviations and alliances in a strong heterosexist culture, destabilizing canonical structures of gender and desire and opening possibilities of expressiveness and reflection infrequent in the first decades of the twentieth century.
