La realidad social y su secreto. El rol de las creencias y el lenguaje

Abstract

En el presente trabajo daremos cuenta de un elemento oculto, no manifiesto. Ese elemento, justamente, es el encargado de crear y mantener el funcionamiento de aquello que se suele denominar, realidad social e institucional. La mantención de ese secreto y su resguardo, permite que el rumbo que mantenemos los seres humanos en nuestra vida cotidiana no se vea alterado. No se trata de un gran misterio, sino de una trivialidad que, como suele ocurrir, queda atrapada, inmersa en nuestra cotidianidad. Lo menos aparente, suele ser lo que se encuentra más a la vista, casi frente a nuestras narices. La humanidad, diaria y mecánicamente hace la sociedad. La hace, sin entrecomillar, en sentido literal. Para que eso sea posible es necesario que los sujetos estén en posesión de ese elemento fundamental: las creencias. Creer que las cosas son de un modo y no pueden ser de otro; creer permite hacer, hacer de un modo específico, con una intencionalidad precisa. Aquí sugerimos –a partir de la obra de John Searle- que la realidad social e institucional es construida y constituida por un secreto, por la creencia de los sujetos en ciertos elementos y en ciertas ideas.

In the present work we will notice a hidden element, not manifested. That element, precisely, is in charge of creating and maintaining the operation of what is usually called social and institutional reality. The maintenance of this secret and its shelter, allows that the direction that we maintain the human beings in our daily life is not altered. It is not a great mystery, but a triviality that, as is often the case, is trapped, immersed in our daily lives. The least apparent is usually what is most in sight, almost in front of our noses. Humanity, daily and mechanically, makes society. It does it, without quotation, in a literal sense. For that to be possible it is necessary that the subjects are in possession of that fundamental element: the beliefs. To believe that things are of one way and cannot be of another; believe allows to do, to do in a specific way, with a precise intentionality. Here we will suggest -from the work of John Searle- that social and institutional reality is constructed and constituted by a secret, by the belief of the subjects in certain elements and in certain ideas
