Los antecedentes del teatro independiente en Buenos Aires: la importancia de Boedo y Florida

Abstract

En la década de 1920, muchos de los intelectuales de Buenos Aires se dividieron en dos grupos: Boedo y Florida. El primero abogó por un arte social que invitaba a accionar a los obreros. El segundo pretendió renovar la literatura con fines estéticos. Los de Florida expresaban su mirada a través del periódico Martín Fierro; y los de Boedo lo hacían desde las revistas Los Pensadores y Claridad. Tribuna del pensamiento izquierdista.A su vez, el 30 de noviembre de 1930, el boedista Leónidas Barletta creó el Teatro del Pueblo, dando inicio al movimiento de teatros independientes en la ciudad. El propósito de este trabajo es analizar cómo se trató el arte teatral en los medios mencionados, a fin de observar qué vínculo con el teatro propone cada uno y qué rasgos, de los que luego serían promovidos por Barletta y el teatro independiente, ya habían sido diseminados en ellos.

In the 20s, many of the intellectuals of Buenos Aires were divided into two groups: Boedo and Florida. The first advocated a social art, to invite the workers to act. The second sought to renew the literature for aesthetic purposes. The Florida expressed his gaze through the newspaper Martin Fierro; and Boedo did it from the magazines Los Pensadores and Claridad. In turn, on November 30th, 1930, the boedista Leónidas Barletta created the Teatro del Pueblo, with this starting the movement of independent theaters in the city. The purpose of this paper is to analyze how the theatrical art is discussed in the mentioned means to observe what link with the theater proposes each one and what traits, which would then be promoted by Barletta and independent theater, had been scattered in them.
