La verdad del delirio amoroso: de Platón a Dolan

Abstract

La película Les amours imaginaires (2010) del director canadiense Xavier Dolan cuenta las distintas facetas del deseo y el amor a través de testimonios de jóvenes sobre sus experiencias amorosas y, particularmente, en la historia principal que entreteje la película, en la cual se relata en tonos contemporáneos la clásica historia de dos amigos que se enamoran de la misma persona. Analizamos aquí algunos de estos aspectos del delirio amoroso a la luz de ciertos pensadores que han colocado este tema en un lugar central de sus filosofías: Roland Barthes, Alain Badiou y, sobre todo, Platón con su fundacional descripción del poder de Éros y las implicancias filosóficas que puede tener este sentimiento.

Xavier Dolan´s film Heartbeats (2010) deals with the subject of love and desire under their different forms. There, along with the statements of some young people about their romantic experiences, he recreates the typical story of two friends who fall in love with the same person in a contemporary code. The main purpose of this work is to analyze some aspects of love-madness which are tackled in this film in the light of the reflections on the same subject by some philosophers: Roland Barthes, Alain Badiou and, above all, Plato with his description on the power of Erôs and his conception of what philosophy is.
