dc.description.abstract
dc.description.abstract
the arrival of the sound cinema resulted in a series of transformations that led Hollywood to rehearse different empathetic strategies with the foreign markets. In the Latin American case, the films with actors and locations of the region reinforced a continental transmedia business model, as well as became important tools for the cultural diplomatic policies in Good Neighborhood times. This article focuses on the local uses of the modern and urban images of Brazil that strengthen a cultural and commercial network between cinema, tourism, and diplomacy.
