Afuera glacial en Blanchot y Beckett: Polvo y palabra no biodegradables

Abstract

En este trabajo propongo un recorrido por los cruces entre la escritura de S. Beckett y la de M. Blanchot a partir de la cuestión de la muerte y la palabra. En vistas a ello, abordo el tema blanchotiano de la muerte en la literatura no como la de un "yo muero" (que muchas veces se identifica con la cuestión de la "muerte del autor"), sino antes bien como lo que permite plantear un espacio afirmativo de interioridad impersonal (un morir contento). Así pues, considero este espacio afirmativo como el de lo no biodegradable, entendiendo por esto una materia lingüística que resiste a los sistemas de reciclaje, reutilización y supeditación a lo orgánico propios del biopoder. El lenguaje se revela así como algo sin centro gravitacional, que se mueve, golpea y contagia, contactando sin organizarse. Por último, me refiero a una ecología glacial para señalar la posibilidad de comprender dichos rasgos de la escritura blanchotiana y beckettiana bajo la lógica del cristal, según la cual lo que hay puede adquirir espesor pero no una "profundidad" inasible.

In this paper we go through S. Beckett’s and M. Blanchot’s writings taking as a starting point the question of death and speech. In order to accomplish this, we address the Blanchovian theme of “death in literature” not as that of “I die” (frequently identified with the “death of the author” issue), but rather as that which allows to pose an affirmative space of impersonal interiority (a happy dying). Therefore, we consider this affirmative space as non-biodegradable, understood as a linguistic matter that resists to the recycling, reusing and organic subordination systems typical of biopower. Accordingly, language is revealed as something without gravitational center, moving, striking and spreading, contacting without ever organizing itself. Finally, I refer to a glacial ecology to point out the possibility of understanding these Blanchot’s and Beckett’s writings features from the perspective of the crystal logic, according to which what it is may acquire thickness but not an ungraspable “depth”.
