Historia ambiental del área rural de Pelicurá sobre la base de registros pluviométricos: Partido de Tornquist, provincia de Buenos Aires

Abstract

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la historia ambiental del asentamiento rural de Pelicurá y su área de influencia. La misma pertenece al partido de Tornquist, ubicado en el Suroeste de la provincia de Buenos Aires. Para comprender las transformaciones que se sucedieron en este espacio fue necesario identificar, mediante una mirada retrospectiva, los acontecimientos que estructuraron la región. Para ello, se seleccionaron cortes temporales, en función de hechos significativos determinados luego de un análisis climático. De esta manera se establecen las variaciones y fluctuaciones climáticas que afectan la zona de estudio. Al realizar la historia ambiental del área, se analizan de manera integrada al espacio, distinguiendo sus transformaciones a lo largo del tiempo, el papel que ha desempeñado cada componente del medio natural y a su vez, cuáles han sido los impactos provocados por la presencia del hombre en el mismo. Se contribuye así, a lograr un mayor conocimiento de la situación ambiental actual y pronosticar posibles tendencias futuras, así como estudio base para la toma de decisiones por parte de los agentes planificadores, en vista al mejoramiento de las condiciones ambientales del área.

This article aims at analyzing the environmental history of Pelicurá rural settlement and its area of influence. The area belongs to the District of Tornquist located in the Southwest of Buenos Aires province. In order to understand the changes that took place in this area, it was necessary to identify, through a retrospective look, the events that gave shape to the region. So, time sections were selected according to significant events determined after a climate analysis. In this way, climate variations and fluctuations that affect the area under study are established. When conducting the environmental history of the area, a comprehensive analysis of space, pointing out its transformation over time; of the role played by each component of the natural environment; and, at the same time, of the impacts caused by the presence of man was carried out. This contributes to the achievement of a greater understanding of the current environmental situation and prediction of possible future trends, as well as a study basis for decision making by planning agents, with regard to improving the environmental conditions of the area.
