Neoracionalismo y metaética

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es analizar, desde una perspectiva metaética, la tesis neo-racionalista según la cual los juicios morales manifiestan pretensiones de validez. Esta posición considera que es esencial a los juicios morales el pretender ser racionalmente aceptables, y que estos aspiran a una validez intersubjetiva que cualquiera, en condiciones ideales, debería reconocer. En el presente artículo se cuestionará el alcance de esta tesis, rechazándose la idea según la cual al pronunciar un juicio de valor estamos siempre invocando nuestra disposición a que este sea juzgado por un auditorio universal y enteramente racional.

The aim of this article is to analyze, from a metaethical perspective, the neo-racionalist thesis according to which the moral judgments has pretensions of validity. This position considers that it is essential to the moral judgments pretends to be rationally acceptable, and that them aspire to an intersubjective validity that anyone, in ideal conditions, should recognize. In the present article there will be questioned the scope of this thesis, and will be rejected the idea according to which a judgment of value is always invoking our disposition to be judged for a universal and entirely rational audience.
