Mastozoología Neotropical will celebrate 25 years of uninterrupted publication in 2018. In preparation for this anniversary, we wish to address several challenges currently facing our journal, identify opportunities on the horizon, and provide our views on the directions it should take. We do so after a brief overview of the current status of Mastozoología Neotropical.
