La definición del concepto de justicia en Leyes particulares 4, 135-238 de Filón de Alejandría: contexto, connotación y traducción

Abstract

La definición de la justicia (δικαιοσύνη) en Leyes Particulares 4, 135-238 de Filón se desprende del valor del contexto en la traducción de términos que comparten el mismo campo semántico, y de la connotación que recibe el concepto en su aproximación, influencia y diferencia con la filosofía griega, judeohelenística y grecorromana. El objetivo de nuestro trabajo será definir el concepto de justicia en Leyes Particulares 4, 135-238 a partir del examen del concepto en relación con las nociones cuya traducción contribuye a establecer el alcance ideológico de la justicia filoniana. Intentaremos demostrar que, en el pensamiento de Filón, el concepto de justicia se define a partir de las categorías léxicas que configuran una visión de mundo determinada por el contexto ideológico de la comunidad judía de Alejandría del siglo I d. C.

The definition of justice (δικαιοσύνη) in Special Laws 4, 135- 238 of Philo can be deduced from the value of context in the translation of terms that share the same semantic field, and from the connotation that the concept receives in its approach, influence and difference with Greek, Hellenistic Jewish, and Greco-roman philosophy. The objective of our work will be to define justice in Special Laws 4, 135-238 by means of an examination of the concept in relation to notions whose translation helps to establish the ideological scope of justice in Philo. We will attempt to demonstrate that in Philo’s thought, the concept of justice is defined from the lexical categories that configure a world view determined by the ideological context of the Jewish community of Alexandria in the first century A.D.
