Apropiación diferencial del espacio urbano residencial: reproducción social y estrategias habitaciones en el Gran Córdoba, Argentina

Abstract

La ciudad es un espacio material y como tal lleva implícito un proceso de trabajo social impreso en una trama de relaciones sociales de producción y reproducción. Este proceso, por un lado, se refiere a la lógica de acumulación del capital, y, por el otro, al desarrollo de la vida humana en todas sus dimensiones y significados. Y, es esta segunda dimensión, la que constituye nuestro foco de análisis. En ese marco, nos centramos en la apropiación espacial implicada en estrategias de acceso al suelo y a la vivienda, asociadas a formas particulares de inversión afectiva y de identificación con el entorno barrial. Específicamente buscamos abordar las estrategias de apropiación que ponen juego familias de clases medias dominadas y dominantes del Gran Córdoba. Para tal fin, partimos del objetivismo provisorio que implicó la construcción del espacio social cordobés donde delimitamos diferentes clases sociales. El segundo momento de la investigación, consistió en un abordaje fundamentalmente cualitativo. A través de entrevistas en profundidad buscamos reconstruir los sentidos vividos y las trayectorias individuales y familiares.

The city is a material space and as such implies a process of social work printed in a network of social relations of production and reproduction. This process alternately refers to the logic of accumulation of capital, and to the development of human life in all its dimensions and meanings. The reproduction takes place in the realm of people’s daily life and allows visualization as a form of occupation and/or use of a particular place in a particular space-time coordinate. And, it is this second dimension, which is the focus of this analysis. In this context, this article focuses on the spatial appropriation implied in land and housing access strategies associated with specific kinds of affective investment and identification with the neighborhood environment. Specifically, the aim was to analyze the strategies of appropriation of urban space that dominated and dominant middle class families of Greater Córdoba put into play. To this end, starting from provisional objectivism which means the construction of social space in Cordoba, different social classes were delimited. The second phase of the research involved a fundamentally qualitative approach; in-depth interviews were used to reconstruct the perceptions that were lived, and individual and family paths.
