Las dos representaciones del problema del orden social en la teoría sociológica de Niklas Luhmann

Abstract

En el presente artículo proponemos que en la teoría sociológica de Niklas Luhmann es factible reconstruir dos formulaciones diferentes en relación con el problema del orden social. Por un lado, una que remite al problema de la demostra - ción de un orden de realidad irreductiblemente social; y por el otro, una formulación más específica y frecuente en la historia del pensamiento sociológico, que refiere a la pregunta por la regulación y el control de la acción. Dicha dualidad se torna particularmente visible en conexión con los diversos sentidos y valoraciones que adquiere el supuesto de la contingencia de la acción en la elaboración general de la propuesta del autor. Este análisis nos permite sostener la hipótesis de que en la teoría social no sólo existiría diversidad en torno a las respuestas otorgadas al problema del orden, sino también en los modos en que el mismo es concebido

In this article we propose that in the sociological theory of Niklas Luhmann is possible to reconstruct two different treatments regarding the problem of social order. On the one hand, a problem which is related to the recognition of an order of reality that is social in its own right; and on the other hand, one that is connected with the matter of regulation and control over the action. This duality is particularly observable when we analyze the different meanings and valuations that the problem of contingency of action has in the elaboration of the general proposal of the author. The analysis allows us to present the hypothesis that in social theory, there is diversity not only in the answers granted to the problem of order, but also in the ways in which the problem is conceived
