Morfosintaxis de las construcciones existenciales en mocoví (Guaycurú)

Abstract

En este trabajo se describe y analiza la partícula existencial de la lengua mocoví (familia Guaycurú, Argentina) y se postula su estatuto categorial de verbo defectivo. Se reconocen tres formas afirmativas no alomórficas diferenciables por su valor conceptual y una forma negativa. Se presenta un primer análisis que atiende a sus características particulares, a los contextos morfológicos y sintácticos habilitados para su materialización y a la semántica disparada en cada caso. Se presentan datos cruciales obtenidos directamente en campo en diferentes comunidades de la provincia de Santa Fe. El objetivo es echar luz sobre el funcionamiento de una categoría, a la que se reconoce como verbal, de alta productividad en esta lengua y capaz de habilitar lecturas de diferentes tipos: presentativa-locativa, identificativa, posesiva, causativa, de cambio de estado y atributiva mediante predicación secundaria.

In this paper, we describe and analyze the existential form of the Mocoví language (Guaycuruan family, Argentina) and we postulate its categorial statute of defective verb. We recognize three non-allomorphic affirmative forms differentiable by their conceptual value, and a negative form. A first proposal is presented to attend the particular properties of the existential, the morphological and syntactic contexts in that it can appear, and the semantic of each case. We consider the basic research about the Mocovi language, and we complement it with new original data obtained through fieldwork in different communities of Santa Fe. The aim is to prove evidence about the functioning of what we assume a verbal category, which is highly productive in this language and able to allow different types of readings: presentative-locative, identifiable reading, possessive, causative, change of location, attributive by secondary predication.
