Asimilación de la doctrina agustiniana de la imago Trinitatis en la concepción antropológica de Nicolás de Cusa

Abstract

En el presente artículo mostraremos, que la doctrina agustiniana de la imago Trinitatis en el interior de la mens humana (memoria-intellectus-voluntas) es asimilada en la concepción antropológica cusana. En particular, se retomarán dos aspectos de la doctrina agustiniana: 1- la mens humana como imago Dei en tanto capax Dei, dotada de libre albedrío, y debido a su operar unitrino; 2- el autoconocimiento de la mente humana como camino de aproximación y asimilación al principio. No obstante, se advertirá al mismo tiempo el aporte original del pensamiento cusano a la tradición en este punto: que nuestra mente es no sólo imagen, sino viva imago del principio de todo ser y conocer, gracias a su conocer creador, unificador, y de alcance universal.

Our purpose will be to show that the agustinian doctrine of the imago Trinitatis in the interior of the human mens (memoria-intellectus-voluntas) is assimilated in the anthropological conception of Nicholas of Cusa. Two aspects of the agustinian doctrine will be adopted: 1- the human mind as imago Dei due to three reasons: because she is capax Dei, she has free will, and due to her trinitarian way of operating; 2- human mind ´s selfknowledge as a way of approaching and assimilating to the principle. Nevertheless, we will highlight at the same time the original contribution of cusan thought on this point: that our mind is not only an image but also a living image of the principle of being and knowing, thanks to her knowing, which is creative, unifying, and of universal reach.
