Resumen
The following paper aims at exploring the transformations in the world of working that have been produced as a consequence of a new stage of capitalism. Since publishing is an industry based on the production and exchange of information, we consider it an interesting edge from which to observe the changes occurred in the world of working, a labor practice that is increasingly turning into an immaterial stage where the cognitive is strengthened as the current sign of the processes of production, as well as of the processes of exchange and consumption. Hence, based on the analysis of three specific cases (Editorial Funesiana, Editorial Eterna Cadencia and Random House Mondadori), we will investigate the modes of work in the publishing industry during a period marked by the deepening of the financial and commercial internationalization, and its link with the ICTs as the key issue heralding the onset of the current era.
