Las fotos y el helicóptero: memorias de oficiales retirados y ex soldados conscriptos que participaron del Operativo Independencia (Tucumán, 1975-1977)

Abstract

Este artículo nace del cruce de dos trabajos de campo distintos, uno con oficiales retirados del Ejército Argentino y otro con ex soldados conscriptos que participaron del Operativo Independencia (1975-1977). En las entrevistas, los oficiales retirados se refirieron repetidamente al hallazgo de fotos de familiares en manos del «enemigo» y los conscriptos, a un helicóptero usado por la guerrilla rural para moverse en el monte tucumano. Los relatos y rumores sobre dichas fotos y sobre el helicóptero serán objeto de reflexión de este artículo. El propósito es pues indagar el lugar que estos rumores ocupan al interior de las memorias de los cuadros y tropa que participaron en el Operativo Independencia. En especial, analizaremos la construcción retrospectiva del «enemigo», tanto en su dimensión productiva de sentimientos y emociones como en el poder para construir una disposición colectiva al «sacrificio».

This paper articulates two different field works: the first one is related to Retired Army Officials and the second one deals with former conscripts who participated in the «Operativo Independencia» (1975-1977). During the interviews the Retired Army Officials repeatedly referred to the shock of finding pictures of their families in the hands of the «enemy». On the other hand, the conscripts mentioned a helicopter that the guerrilla allegedly used to move around the Tucuman’s mountains. Both the rumors on those pictures and the helicopter will be the object of study of this paper. The aim is to analyze the significance of these rumors within the memories of the officials and the soldiers who participated at the Operativo Independencia. Finally, this work will analyze the retrospective production of the «enemy», both in their sensitive and emotional aspect as well as the power to enhance a collective feeling towards «sacrifice».
