Schmitt and Álvaro d’ors: Una inspiración ad modum recipientis

Abstract

Álvaro d'ors ha sido, entre los maestros tradicionalistas hispanos, uno de los más singulares, distinción que se deja ver por la reconocida influencia de Carl Schmitt en su pensamiento político. este artículo se pregunta cuán grande haya sido el influjo del jurista germano en el romanista catalán, valiéndose de las notas de éste al Glossarium de aquél, espigando algunos temas centrales como tiempo y espacio, estado y orden político cristiano, teología política, autoridad y poder, legalidad y legitimidad. el estudio nos devela que d'Ors aceptó el magisterio de Schmitt con reservas que provienen de su formación católica tradicionalista hispana.

Among the Hispanic traditionalist masters, alvaro d’ors has been one of the most unique, perception that can be seen by the Carl schmitt’s recognized impact on his political thinking. this article asks how great has been the influence of the German jurist in the Catalan romanist, using the d’ors’notes to the schmitt’s Glossarium, gleaning some issues as time and space, state and Christian political order, political theology, authority and power, legality and legitimacy. the study reveals that d’ors accepted the teaching of schmitt with cautions coming from his Hispanic traditionalist Catholic formation.
