La caricatura política bajo la dictadura militar argentina (1976-1983)

Abstract

Este trabajo analiza el despliegue de la caricatura política en la última dictadura militar argentina a partir de la obra y trayectoria de los dibujantes más destacados de aquel entonces: Landrú, Sábat y Cascioli. Se estudian las caricaturas de Landrú publicadas en las tapas de Tía Vicenta (1976-1979), las de Sábat publicadas en las secciones Política y Panorama Político del diario Clarín entre 1976 y 1983, y las de Cascioli, publicadas en la portada de HUM® entre 1978 y 1983. Se distinguen tres dimensiones de análisis, por un lado, las trayectorias y las características distintivas del trazo de cada uno de estos caricaturistas, por otro, los medios que fueron soporte de estas imágenes y su relación con el régimen, y por último, las representaciones plasmadas en las imágenes cómicas producidas por cada dibujante y su relación con la censura.

This article analyses the display of political caricatures during the last Argentine military dictatorship from the work and career of the most important cartoonist of those years: Landrú, Sábat and Cascioli. We will study the caricatures of Landrú published in the covers of Tía Vicenta magazine (1976-1979), of Sábat published in the Politics and Political Outlook of Clarín journal between 1976 and 1983, and the caricatures made by Cascioli, published at the covers of HUM® magazine between 1978 and 1983. Three dimensions of analysis are distinguished, on one hand, the careers and the distinctive characteristics of the line of each cartoonist, on the other hand, the media which was the material support of these images and their relationship with the military government, and finally, the representations capture in the comic images produced by each cartoonist and it relation with censorship.
