Resumen
The chlorophyllide b derivatized polyallylamine (PAAChl) wassynthesized. The resulting fluorescent polymer presents a high emissionquantum yield, very stable in time. The polymer formed a hydrogel whentreated with carbon dioxide that was characterized by Raman spectroscopyand solid-state NMR (ss-NMR). The adsorption of CO2 takes place throughthe formation of carbamate. Absorbance and fluorescence based analyticalstudies were performed. The UV-vis spectra of PAAChl, after additions ofCO2, show a growing absorption peak at 250 nm corresponding to carbamateformation. The emission of fluorescence at 664 nm as function of carbondioxide concentrations shows a linear regression with a detection limitof 2 ppm and a quantification limit of 5 ppm. The capacity of a chemicalsensor was described by sensibility, selectivity, stability, responsetime and regeneration were also analyze
