Unidades de vegetación y recursos florísticos en una aldea Mbya Guaraní de Misiones, Argentina

Abstract

Se presentan los resultados de un estudio de los recursos vegetales utilizados por integrantes de la comunidad Mbya Guaraní Takuapi, localizada en el Dpto. Libertador General San Martín, Provincia de Misiones, Argentina. Los resultados de la investigación etnobotánica cotejados con los resultados de un muestreo de la vegetación, permitieron determinar la riqueza de plantas y usos en distintos escenarios del entorno natural de la aldea. Un total de 242 etnoespecies fueron mencionadas como útiles. Todas las unidades de vegetación consideradas ofrecen muchos recursos florísticos, destacándose en primer lugar la selva de altura.

The results of a study on plant resources well-known and used by members of a guarani community are presented. The results of ethnobotanical research were compared with the results of the vegetation sampling. This procedure allowed the determination of the plants and uses richness in the different settings of the village’s natural surroundings. A total of 242 ethnospecies was mentioned as useful. All the units of vegetation offer many plant resources; the high forest is located in the first place regarding the richness of useful species.
