Espacio y tiempo ritual en la antigua Tebas: Consideraciones en torno a su representación (parte I)

Abstract

Este artículo indaga en las formas en que se expresó la temporalidad en las tumbas de la elite tebana del Reino Nuevo y sus relaciones con las expresiones de espacialidad. Las fórmulas adoptadas para su representación iconográfica en la necrópolis de Tebas Occidental se analizan desde las perspectivas de la memoria cultural y el arte, y enfocadas en las prácticas rituales. La iconografía conservada en la tumba de Neferhotep (TT49) constituye el material de análisis a partir del cual se sugiere una interpretación que atiende tanto a los diferentes tipos de temporalidades reconocidas como a sus nexos espaciales.

This paper inquires into the ways in which temporality was expressed in the tombs of the elite Theban New Kingdom, and its relations with the expressions of the spatiality. The formulas adopted for its iconographic representation in Western Thebes necropolis are analyzed from the perspectives of cultural memory and art, and focused on the ritual practices. The iconography preserved in the tomb of Neferhotep (TT49) is the material from which analysis is suggested an interpretation that addresses both, the various types of temporalities recognized and their spatial connections.
