Iglesia, catolicismo y sociedad en Córdoba 1969-1973

Abstract

El presente artículo aborda los posicionamientos de la jerarquía de la Iglesia católica de Córdoba (Argentina) el lugar del catolicismo en la sociedad entre 1969 y 1973. A través de los discursos buscamos aproximarnos al estudio de los modos en que la Iglesia intentó sostener una primacía de la institución y reforzar el catolicismo en las prácticas cotidianas. También se abordan algunas tensiones entre la jerarquía y otros sectores del clero que abogaban por un mayor compromiso social de la Iglesia. Para ello, el análisis incluye elementos que son centrales para la comprensión del objeto, entre ellos, el impacto del proceso de renovación posterior al ConcilioVaticano II y la radicalización política.

This article deals with the positioning of the hierarchy of the Catholic Church in Córdoba (Argentina) about the place of Catholicism in society between 1969 and 1973. Through the discourses we approach the study of the ways in which the Church tried to maintain the primacy of the institution and strengthen Catholicism in daily practices. Tensions between the hierarchy and other sectors of the clergy, who advocated greater social commitment of the Church, are also adressed. To do this, the analysis includes elements that are central to the understanding of the topic, including the impact of the process of renewal after Vatican II and the political radicalization.
