Los desafíos de las ciencias sociales y el pensamiento político en América Latina

Abstract

Este artículo propone una reflexión sobre algunos de los desafíos del pensamiento político y de las ciencias sociales críticas en América Latina. En primer lugar identifica algunas polémicas epistemológicas en torno al estatus del conocimiento en las ciencias sociales y su relación con lo político. Segundo, señala la necesidad de ir más allá de un llamado al pensamiento crítico para asumir los desafíos y los esfuerzos teóricos y metodológicos que estos retos implican, entre ellos, repensar asuntos de ontología social, de epistemología y de teoría social. Finalmente, repara en algunos de los esfuerzos que, a partir de los gobiernos del «giro a la izquierda» se presentan como novedosas experiencias abiertas y controversiales en los que gobiernos, universidades y comunidades ingresan a trabajar asuntos comunes.

This article proposes a reflection on some of the challenges of the political thought and the social critical sciences in Latin America. First he identifies some polemics epistemológicas concerning the status of the knowledge in the social sciences and his relation with the political thing. I come second, it indicates the need to go beyond called to the critical thought to assume the challenges and the theoretical and methodological efforts that these challenges they imply, between, rethinking matters of social ontology, epistemología and social theory. Finally, it repairs in some of the efforts that, from the governments of the «draft to the left side» appear as new opened and controversial experiences in that governments, universities and communities enter to work common matters.
