Albert Camus: el arte como transfiguración de la experiencia

Abstract

Albert Camus fue uno de los intelectuales más importantes de la pasada centuria. Sus trabajos artísticos, periodísticos y filosóficos han sido fundamentales para la comprensión de una época, pero han transcendido la coyuntura convirtiéndose en un clásico. En este trabajo analizaré algunos aspectos de su concepción estética. En particular, la relación entre arte y realidad, la paradoja la obra de arte (que oscila entre pertenencia y distanciación), el intento de unificar la experiencia por medio del estilo. Mi objetivo es sintetizar algunas de las reflexiones de Camus en torno al oficio de escritor, y a la transfiguración que el arte opera sobre la experiencia.

Albert Camus was one of the most important intellectuals of the past century. His artistic, journalistic and philosophical works have been fundamental for the understanding of an age, but they have transcended the historical moments becoming a classic. In this work I will analyze some of the aspects of his aesthetic conception. In particular, the relationship between art and reality, the paradox, the art work (which oscillates between belonging and distance), the attempt to unify the experience through style. My aim is to synthesize some of Camus reflections centred around the writer trade, and the transfiguration the art brings about the experience
