Crítica y verdad: la emergencia de la libertad en el gobierno de la vida

Abstract

En el presente trabajo intentaremos mostrar partiendo del análisis foucaulteano de la noción de homo œconomicus en el marco de sus investigaciones sobre el neoliberalismo norteamericano, cómo es que allí donde la vida parecería caer completamente en el juego de verdad del poder, es posible identificar toda una línea de indagación que conduce, en el pensamiento de Foucault, a la elucidación de una noción de crítica capaz de hacer valer la libertad implicada en el gobierno de la vida y de indicar la posibilidad de una vida otra respecto del sujeto del neoliberalismo.

In this paper we will intend to show on the basis of the foucauldian analysis of the notion of homo œconomicus within the framework of his investigations on American neoliberalism, how is it that where life would seem to fall completely into the game of truth of power, it is possible to identify a line of inquiry that leads, in Foucault’s thought, to the elucidation of a notion of critique that is able to reinforce freedom in the government of life and to indicate the possibility of another life with respect to the subject of neoliberalism.
