Morfología seminal en especies de Caryophyllaceae del Parque Nacional Mburucuyá (Corrientes, Argentina).

Abstract

Se estudian al microscopio óptico y al microscopio electrónico de barrido la morfología seminal de los 15 taxones de Caryophyllaceae (13 spp. y 2 variedades) representados en el Parque Nacional Mburucuyá. Se reconocen tres tipos de semillas de acuerdo a la ornamentación de la cubierta seminal y tres tipos de acuerdo al patrón: ápteras, aladas o alada/ápteras. Los caracteres exomorfológicos resultaron de valor diagnóstico a nivel infragenérico e infraespecífico para la identificación de los taxones. Los resultados obtenidos se comparan con estudios previos en especies relacionadas.

Seed morphology of fifteen taxa of Caryophyllaceae (13 species and 2 varieties) represented in the National Park Mburucuyá were studied by light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. A total of three types of seeds were recognized on the basis of the seminal surface ornamentation and three types according to the pattern: wingless, winged and winged/ wingless. The differences observed in exomorphological characteristics show the diagnostic value of the seeds at infrageneric and infraspecific level for the identification of the taxa. The results obtained here are compared with previous studies in related species.
