El sentido de la adhesión: Un análisis de la construcción de significados en el marco de situaciones sociales evangélicas y terapéuticas alternativas (Buenos Aires, Argentina)

Abstract

El objetivo del artículo consiste en explorar comparativamente los motivos de adhesión que despliegan los usuarios de terapias alternativas y los creyentes evangélicos. En la primera parte complejizaremos el problema de la creencia en la sociología de la salud y de la religión, distinguiendo entre identificaciones éticas, técnicas y estéticas. En la segunda y la tercera parte, vamos a estudiar respectivamente la situación social que recrean las terapias alternativas y la propuesta evangélica. Luego, en las conclusiones, serán comparados ambos casos de estudio. El artículo presenta un abordaje cualitativo a través de entrevistas en profundidad realizadas a usuarios de reflexología y creyentes neo-pentecostales en Buenos Aires.

The aim of this article is to compare the motives of adherence that the users of alternative therapies and the evangelical believers display. In the first part we will attempt to analyze the problem from the points of view of the sociology of health and the sociology of religion, distinguishing between ethical, technical and aesthetic identifications. In the second and the third parts, we will study, respectively, the social situations that are recreated by alternative therapies and the evangelical proposal. In the conclusion we compare both cases of study. The article presents a qualitative method of analysis through in-depth interviews conducted to users of Reflexology and Neo-pentecostals believers.
