Lecturas revisionistas sobre la presidencia de Roberto M. Ortiz: reflexiones en torno a José Luis Torres, Ernesto Palacio, y José María Rosa

Abstract

En este artículo buscamos reseñar los principales aportes historiográ- ficos que tres autores revisionistas (José Luis Torres, Ernesto Palacio y José María Rosa) hicieron sobre la presidencia de Roberto M. Ortiz (1938-1942). Intentamos analizar algunas de sus obras principales, y determinar de qué manera han construido el relato histórico sobre este período determinado. La presidencia de Roberto M. Ortiz (1938-1942) nos ofrece un caso interesante para explorar en qué medida el vínculo existente entre historia y política del que parten los tres autores –pese a las diferencias notorias entre la producción de cada uno de ellos– fue determinante para la evaluación historiográfica que presentan sobre la figura de Ortiz y su proyecto de apertura electoral en la Argentina de fines de los años treinta

In this article we review the main historiographical contributions of three revisionist authors (José Luis Torres, Ernesto Palacio and José María Rosa) on the presidential administration of Robert M. Ortiz (1938-1942). We try to analyze some of their major works, and determine how they have written about this historical period. The presidency of Roberto M. Ortiz (1938-1942) offers an interesting case to explore the link between history and politics in these three authors –despite the remarkable differences in their historical productions– which was crucial for the historiographical evaluation of Ortiz’s figure and of his electoral opening program in Argentina in the late thirtie
