Univocidad y acontecimiento en la interpretación de badiou de la filosofía de Deleuze

Abstract

En este artículo abordamos la interpretación de Badiou sobre la filosofía de Deleuze. Nos concentraremos en su manera de comprender la univocidad y el acontecimiento porque son conceptos cruciales que reúnen los rasgos más controversiales de su enfoque. Con relación al primer tema, examinaremos las dos tesis sobre las que se apoya su mirada de la univocidad: la primacía del Uno-Todo y el carácter ficticio de lo múltiple. Con relación al segundo, analizaremos la crítica de Badiou a Deleuze en tanto en cuanto este reduciría el acontecimiento a hechos regulares y ordinarios del mundo, y además se aproximaría al giro lingüístico y a una dimensión religiosa. Nuestra hipótesis es que la lectura de Badiou tiene debilidades conceptuales insalvables, por lo cual propondremos perspectivas diferentes con fundamento más sólido en los textos de Deleuze. Consideramos que la interpretación de Badiou tiene un potencial heurístico limitado dado que no aporta claves de lectura renovadoras, sino que acusa a Deleuze de caer en las mismas posiciones filosóficas que este critica: la trascendencia, el platonismo, la confusión empirista, el giro lingüístico.

This article addresses Badiou’s interpretation of Deleuze’s philosophy. We will focus on his understanding of univocity and the event, as these are crucial concepts that encompass the most controversial aspects of his approach. Regarding the first theme, we will examine the two theses underpinning his perspective on univocity: the primacy of the One-All and the fictional nature of the multiple. Concerning the second, we will analyze Badiou’s critique of Deleuze, asserting that the latter reduces the event to regular and ordinary facts of the world while also approaching the linguistic turn and a religious dimension. Our hypothesis is that Badiou’s reading suffers from insurmountable conceptual weaknesses. Therefore, we will propose alternative perspectives grounded more solidly in Deleuze’s texts. We argue that Badiou’s interpretation has limited heuristic potential, as it fails to provide renewed interpretative keys, instead accusing Deleuze of succumbing to the very philosophical positions he critiques: transcendence, Platonism, empiricist confusion, and the linguistic turn.
