Resumen

The following section provides a description and discussion of the metallography undertaken on copper fastenings and sheathing recovered from Alum Bay during the course of the archaeological work undertaken there. The majority of this material has its origins on the Alum Bay 1 shipwreck and so its analysis offered valuable additional evidence for the dating of the vessel and the confirmation of its identity as part of HMS Pomone.
