Resumen

This is the first record of Anaschisma fruchartii for Argentina. It is otherwise known from North America in Mexico (Delgadillo and Cárdenas 1996 as Tortella fruchartii (Müll.Hal.) R.H.Zander) and from South America in Brazil (Yano 1981 as Astomum latifolium Broth.), Paraguay (O’Shea and Price 2008 as A. fruchartii (Müll.Hal.) Broth.) and Uruguay (Zander et al. 2021).
