Informalidad y segmentación laboral desde la perspectiva estructuralista: una aplicación para la Argentina (1992-2010)

Abstract

Este artículo analiza algunas de las transformaciones ocurridas en la estructura ocupacional antes y después de la crisis 2001-2002 en la Argentina. En este marco, se evalúan los cambios evidenciados en la estructura del empleo, la segmentación del mercado laboral y la disparidad de ingresos laborales bajo distintas condiciones macroeconómicas. Una serie de interrogantes de fondo orientan los análisis abordados en este trabajo: ¿Cuáles fueron las transformaciones de la estructura ocupacional y el mercado de trabajo durante la década de políticas neoliberales? ¿Puede hablarse de un nuevo patrón de crecimiento en la estructura ocupacional durante el período 2003-2010?

This article examines some of the transformations in the occupational structure that took place before and after the 2001-2002 crisis in Argentina. Within this framework, we evaluate the changes that occurred in the employment structure, the segmentation of the labor market and the income inequality under different macroeconomic conditions. A series of questions serve as guidelines for the analysis carried out in this article: What transformations did the structure of employment and the labor market undergo during the neoliberal policies? Can we speak of the emergence of a new pattern of growth in the economy and the occupational structure between 2003 and 2010?
