La representación de la Akedat Itzjak en el imaginario cristiano de los siglos XVII y XVIII

Abstract

Este trabajo pretende analizar algunos casos de representaciones del sacrificio de Isaac en la sociedad cristiana de los siglos XVI y XVII. En primer lugar, se describirán las artes plásticas, tomando como casos dos obras de Caravaggio (Barroco) y una de Tiziano (Manierismo). En segundo lugar, se tomará un ejemplo de las artes performativas, a partir de un auto sacramental mexicano.

This paper aims to analyze some representations of the binding of Isaac in the christian society of the XVI and XVII centuries. At a first stage, the study will describe the subject in the Plastic Arts, analyzing two painting by Caravaggio (Baroque) and one by Titian (Mannerism). At a later stage, this research will explore one example within the Performative Arts, a mexican eucharistic play.
