Oralidad folklórica y performance artística: narradores, cantautores y actores de radioteatro

Abstract

En este artículo, proponemos una aproximación a distintas performances artísticas basadas en matrices folklóricas. Partimos de una fundamentación teórica que tiene como eje la dinámica entre narración oral y teatralidad en distintos contextos y soportes discursivos, que van desde la performance oral hasta los circuitos de comunicación mediatizada. El corpus comprende una narración oral argentina, la recreación de un cantautor italiano que retoma la tradición de los cantastorie medievales, y una narración en formato radioteatro. Nuestro objetivo es examinar las modalidades de recreación de matrices folklóricas en formatos narrativos diferentes, que incluyen el código musical, el lenguaje del cuerpo y otras formas de expresión multisemiótica.

In this article, we propose an approach to different artistic performances of folk matrices. The theoretical guidelines are connected both with performance theory, as considered by Richard Bauman and Richard Schechner, and with literary studies on theatricality. We deal also with Vygotsky’ s considerations about fictional construction of theatrical text. From this standpoint, we analyze the dynamics between storytelling and theatricality in different contexts and channels of discourse, from oral performances to mediatic expressions. The corpus includes an Argentinean folk narrative version collected in fieldwork, the re-creation of an Italian songwriter who recreates Medieval tradition of cantastorie in an artistic performance. It contains as well a theatrical representation of a folk narrative in radio drama format. The aim is to explore different ways of recreating folk narrative matrices in contexts and channels of discourse which include both oral speech, musical code, theatrical expressions and other multisemiotic performances.
