Paisaje lingüístico sonoro como marca identitaria de la ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina

Abstract

El proyecto acerca del Paisaje Lingüístico de Córdoba es el marco que permite indagar sobre el paisaje lingüístico sonoro (PLS) como expresión de identidad de la ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina. Se consideran como categorías teóricas ineludibles tanto la noción de Paisaje Lingüístico (Landry y Bourhis, 1997) como la propuesta acerca del paisaje sonoro de Murray Schafer (1977), su caracterización en función de los elementos que lo constituyen y la impronta lingüística que posee. Para ello, se limita el espacio de observación a un recorrido de ocho cuadras lineales sitas en el área central de la ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina. Será necesario establecer sobre qué tipo de signos lingüísticos se realizará el estudio: expresiones habladas, manifestaciones musicales con letra, signos gráficos que evoquen en forma directa sonoridades. Además, la incidencia del tiempo resulta significativa a la hora de apreciar los distintos signos lingüísticos sonoros que emergen del paisaje, ya que no solo varían las posibilidades a lo largo de una misma jornada, sino que también se advierten signos que podemos calificar de conservadores, en tanto resultan expresiones persistentes en el tiempo desde antiguo. Al mismo tiempo, percibimos otros signos sonoros que revelan una energía innovadora. Es de la variedad y complejidad de estos signos, de las tensiones y consensos que se observan tanto en su producción como percepción, que surge la fuerte impronta identitaria que caracteriza a la ciudad capital de nuestra provincia. A tal fin, resulta necesario articular las nociones de sociolectos y variedades de registros. Así también, resultará fructífera la aproximación teórica al concepto de apropiación de espacio público, como eje democratizador en el ámbito social.

The project about the Linguistic Landscape of Córdoba is the framework that allows for an investigation into the linguistic soundscape (PLS - LS) as an expression of the identity of the city of Córdoba, Argentina. The unavoidable theoretical categories considered are the notion of Linguistic Landscape (Landry and Bourhis, 1997) and the proposal about the soundscape by Murray Schafer (1977), its characterization based on the elements that constitute it, and the linguistic imprint it possesses. To do this, the observation space is limited to a route of eight linear blocks located in the central area of the city of Córdoba, Argentina. It will be necessary to establish the type of linguistic signs on which the study will be conducted: spoken expressions, musical manifestations with lyrics, visual representations that directly evoke sounds. Furthermore, the impact of time is significant when observing the various sonic linguistic signs that emerge from the landscape. Not only do the possibilities vary throughout a single day, but some signs can be considered conservative, as they represent expressions that have persisted since ancient times. Meanwhile, we perceive other sonic signs that reveal an innovative energy. It is from the variety and complexity of these signs, the tensions and agreements observed in both their production and perception, that the strong identity imprint characterizing the capital city of our province emerges. To this end, it is necessary to articulate the notions of sociolects and varieties of registers. Furthermore, a theoretical approach to the concept of public space appropriation will be fruitful, serving as a democratizing axis within the social sphere.
