Los edificios de escuelas primarias nacionales en el marco del Cincuentenario de la Ley 1420. Argentina, 1930

Abstract

La importancia adjudicada al sistema educativo en la formación del Estado argentino tuvo su correlato legislativo en la Ley 1420 y la Ley Láinez y su correlato arquitectónico en distintas búsquedas técnicas, higiénicas y estéticas de los nuevos edificios escolares. Este impulso se sostuvo por varias décadas hasta que en la década de 1930, y paradójicamente en el contexto de las celebraciones del Cincuentenario de la Ley 1420, se asistió a la "resignación" del campo específico de la escolaridad primaria por parte del Estado nacional. La arquitectura es, nuevamente, el instrumento idóneo para demostrar y aportar claves a este accionar.

The importance attached to the education system in the formation of the Argentine State had its legislative counterpart in the Law 1420 and the Law Lainez, and its architectural counterpart in different hygienic, aesthetic and technical searches of the new school buildings. This momentum was sustained for several decades until the 1930s, and paradoxically in the context of the celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary of the Law 1420, when there was a “resignation” of the specific field of primary school education by the national government. Architecture becomes again the best tool to demonstrate and provide clues to this action.
