La función del payaso de hospital y su importancia como promotor del juego en la hospitalización infantil

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se describirá la función del payaso de hospital desde el enfoque que proponemos en la Asociación Civil Hospisonrisas a partir del trabajo realizado desde el año 2007 en el Hospital de Niños Dr. Ricardo Gutiérrez de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. Se abordará la importancia del juego en la hospitalización infantil, su valor con respecto a la salud integral de los niños, niñas y adolescentes hospitalizados entendiendo al Juego en tanto Derecho Universal del Niño y fundante de la niñez. Se analizará el valor terapéutico del payaso de hospital, su rol como promotor del juego y la importancia de su incorporación en equipos interdisciplinarios con el objetivo de contribuir al bienestar emocional y promover una mejor calidad de vida del niño hospitalizado y su familia.

This paper will describe the role of the hospital clown from the approach that we propose in the Civil Association Hospisonrisas and its work at the Children’s Hospital Dr. Ricardo Gutiérrez of Buenos Aires City since year 2007. This presentation will point out the importance of play in child hospitalization and its value respect to the integral health of hospitalized children and adolescents, by understanding playing as Universal Children’s Right and as childhood founder. This work will analyze the therapeutic value of the hospital clown, its role as promoter of playing and the importance of its incorporation in interdisciplinary teams with the objective of contributing to emotional well-being and promoting a better quality of life for hospitalized children and their families.
