Tucumán en el Mayo Argentino del ‘69

Abstract

En mayo de 1969, en el contexto de la autodenominada “Revolución Argentina”, transcurrió un ciclo de protesta que recorrió el país en oposición a esta dictadura. En Tucumán, las principales causas que motivaron los conflictos fueron el cierre de 11 de los 27 ingenios azucareros tucumanos y la intervención de las universidades.Este trabajo se propone estudiar lo ocurrido durante ese período en la provincia y contribuir al conocimiento de esta historia reciente, a partir de la reconstrucción y análisis de la nueva modalidad de protesta puesta de manifiesto en la pueblada en Villa Quinteros en abril de 1969 y que tuvo un auge entre el 26 y el 30 de mayo, en paralelo al Cordobazo.

In May 1969, in the context of the so-called "Revolución Argentina", a series of protests swept the country in opposition to this dictatorship. In Tucuman, the main grounds for the conflict were the closure of 11 of the 27 sugar mills and the intervention of the universities. This work aims to study what happened during this period in the province and contribute to the knowledge of this recent history, from the reconstruction and analysis of the new form of protest highlighted in the town in Villa Quinteros in April 1969, which had his peak between 26 and 30 May, in parallel to Cordobazo.
