Musgos urbanos: Flora briofítica en el Jardín Botánico Municipal “Ing. Lorenzo Parodi” (Santa Fe, Argentina)

Abstract

El Jardín Botánico Municipal “Ing. Lorenzo Parodi” reúne una gran variedad de especies vasculares nativas y exóticas reconocidas. Sin embargo, la flora briofítica no ha sido previamente estudiada. Por tal motivo, especímenes de briófitas fueron colectados entre los años 2021 y 2024. Se identificaron un total de 19 especies, incluyendo un nuevo registro para Argentina (Barbula unguiculata) y tres para la provincia de Santa Fe (Chenia leptophylla, Didymodon umbrosus y Uleastrum paraguense). El resto de especies identificadas son novedades para el Jardín Botánico Municipal.

The Municipal Botanical Garden “Ing. Lorenzo Parodi” harbors a diverse collection of native and exotic vascular plant species. However, the bryophyte flora of this garden had not been previously studied. To address this knowledge gap, bryophyte specimens were collected between 2021 and 2024. A total of 19 species were identified, including a new record for Argentina (Barbula unguiculata) and three for the province of Santa Fe (Chenia leptophylla, Didymodon umbrosus and Uleastrum paraguense). The remaining species are new to the Municipal Botanical Garden.
