Identidad, orígenes y derechos en Argentina: La conformación de un campo entre legados, resignificaciones y tensiones

Abstract

En la lucha por encontrar a sus nietas y nietos robados durante la última dictadura cívico-militar argentina (1976-1983) y en tanto promotoras del derecho a la identidad, Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo resultó una fuente de inspiración para otras formas de activismo. Desde el 2000 surgen en Argentina organizaciones sociales de personas que quieren conocer sus orígenes. Estas buscadoras y buscadores resignifican las consignas elaboradas por Abuelas y reclaman al Estado por la garantía de su derecho a la identidad. En este texto analizo la conformación de lo que conceptualicé como el “campo de la búsqueda de los orígenes”. Una red de actores y relaciones en la que convergen distintas y distintos activistas, instituciones del Estado y organizaciones de Derechos Humanos. Y sostengo como hipótesis que, en tanto campo, se caracteriza por luchas, alianzas y estrategias, así como por disputas, tensiones y conflictos que se producen en su interior.

Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo has been a source of inspiration for other forms of activism struggling to find their grandchildren stolen during the last Argentine civil-military dictatorship (1976-1983) and as promoters of the right to identity. Since the year 2000, social organizations of people who search to know their origins have arisen in Argentina. These searchers redefined the claims elaborated by Abuelas demanding the State to guarantee their right to identity. In this text I analyze the conformation of what I have conceptualized as the field of the search for origins. A network of actors and relationships in which different activists, State institutions and human rights organizations converge. I hypothesize that, as every field, it can be characterized by struggles, alliances and strategies, as well as by disputes, tensions and conflicts that occur within it.
