Resumen
State-selective electron capture cross sections due to collisions of multicharged bare ions - Li3+,Be4+, B5+, C6+, N7+, and O8+ - with atomic hydrogen in its ground state are investigated withinthe eikonal impulse (EI) approximation. EI results for total and partial capture to final levels withmain quantum numbers n ranging from 1 to 9 are analyzed considering impact energies from 25to 1000 keV/amu. Furthermore, nl-selective cross sections for Be4+ projectiles are presented toillustrate the performance of the subshell electron distributions obtained with the EI method. In allthe cases, the EI cross sections show a good agreement with available experimental and theoreticaldata in the intermediate and high energy regions. Scaling laws for n-, nl-, and nlm- distributions, derived from the EI approach, are also discussed as useful tools to predict big atomic data setsfor plasma and hadron-therapy applications.
